For many years since I was first introduced to the WWW back in 1996, I’ve been going around trying to ask people all over the WWW for help to raise funds to buy a concert grand harp. The results was a mix bag of criticism, words of advice, encouragement, cold-shoulder treatment (i.e. “Go raise the funds yourself.”), not to mention the slow responses, waste of money on failed advertisement, and little to no donations received when I sat up PayPal and Crowdfunding donation pages. It was one disappointment after another. I tried everything I could to get help, only to end up upset, disappointment, and angry. I was getting absolutely nowhere. Today, I’m happy to report that through much different means I have manage to raise 60% of the funds needed to purchase a concert harp. This is much better than having little to no funds raised. Still I was in need of help, but after all the years of asking for help online only to get little to no help at all, I finally realized that there’s only one way for me to raise the funds.
This morning, I went to my mother’s house for some advice on what to do to raise funds for the concert harp and came back with this decision. I will not go around and ask people for harp money on the internet anymore. It’s not worth it. Not only am I tired of doing so, I am also becoming aware of the fact that everyone on the net, including most of my FB friends, don’t know me or understand me personally at all. Thus, it’s turning out to be a big waste of time, energy, and effort. So as of today, I will no longer go around asking people all over the internet for help in raising the harp funds. Instead, I’ll work on raising $$ for the harp myself. But that doesn’t mean I won’t get help at all in anyway. Anyone who wishes to help me raise $$ to buy a concert harp is more than welcome to do so. Otherwise I think I can handle raising the funds for the concert harp all by myself.
UPDATE: BTW. Right after I get the concert grand harp, I will start posting videos of me playing music on the concert harp here on The Punisher Harp Zone, YouTube, FaceBook, and all other social networks that I’m a part of.
