Sorry, Charlie. But that’s not the way to pluck the harp.
For many years since I was first introduced to the WWW back in 1996, I’ve been going around trying to ask people all over the WWW for help to raise funds to buy a concert grand harp. The results was a mix bag of criticism, words of advice, encouragement, cold-shoulder treatment (i.e. “Go raise the funds yourself.”), not to mention the slow responses, waste of money on failed advertisement, and little to no donations received when I sat up PayPal and Crowdfunding donation pages. It was one disappointment after another. I tried everything I could to get help, only to end up upset, disappointment, and angry. I was getting absolutely nowhere. Today, I’m happy to report that through much different means I have manage to raise 60% of the funds needed to purchase a concert harp. This is much better than having little to no funds raised. Still I was in need of help, but after all the years of asking for help online only to get little to no help at all, I finally realized that there’s only one way for me to raise the funds.
43 Years ago, Match Game debuts on TV. “My Maria” by B.W. Stevenson is playing on the radio. The 1973 Ford Mustang is introduced. The Soap Opera The Young and The Restless and The Six Million Dollar Man debuts on TV. The Watergate hearings is still going on in politics. And finally, at a certain hospital in MI, I was born.
